The idea of a blog, or something along its lines, was originally broached by the New Israel Fund, which works to eradicate racism and violence in Israeli soccer, among its other social activities.

The blog is entirely independent of the NIF, though. More about the blog and its background can be found in the introduction set forth in the first post.
